Ralph's passion for makeup artistry had inspired him to move to Los Angeles where he studied at the Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts. Here he learned fundamentals from Basic Beauty to advanced Special Makeup Effects. Upon graduation, Ralph was approached by celebrity makeup artist Sharon Gault to design and work with her on the special effects makeup for Blink 182's music video Feeling This.

Shortly after, Ralph moved back to New York and started assisting High fashion makeup artist Kabuki on various editorials for W, Paper, Italian and L'Uomo Vogue, as well as fashion shows for Boudicca and Baby Phat. Currently, Ralph has merged on his own with featured makeup designs in editorial for In Style, W, Harper's Bazaar, Flair, Interview, Maxim, Swindle, Soma, New York, Refresh, and Time Out. Also in advertisements ranging from Bacardi and H&M to commercials for Verizon Herbal Essence and CKOne. His talent is also showcased while working on Bravo TV's Project Runway and Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show.
